I was on the road from New Delhi to Agra by coach some years back in 1972 which was a long time ago. Suddenly I spotted a man lying on the road. I could not be sure whether he was dead or alive. What was strange to me? Nobody ever bothered about this man. The coach driver did not even cast a look in the direction of the man. Many cyclists went by and they were equally indifferent. The situation would be very different in my country. You would be surprised! There would be a massive jam as result of the lying man on the road. Police would be summoned to control the traffic flow.
