when I was a teenager, there were no CDs - just LPs and casette tapes...the first great album I bought was the Beatles' White Album...BTW, what's wrong with bubblegum pop? It faded out after 1972 anyway, before CDs came out...

CDs did not yet exist when I was a teen ... cassettes were in and 8 tracks were just starting to fade out ... the first CD that I bought was Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon.
