Yes! We got it out at Christmas and it ran around the base of the tree and where ever else we set the tracks up.

yeah, my brother and i had a train set and one day the transformer caught on fire in his room. i remember blowing the black soot out of my nose. i am sure he screwed with the wiring and that is why it smoked and burned.

Yes. When I was 6. A Lionel steam engine, switch tracks, light tower, barrel loader, switches. Great! Came down to the Christmas tree and my grandfather had it running. Darn, I think he had even more fun with it than I did. Best Christmas present ever. After age 9 and to this day I have not so much as got a lump of coal for Christmas. Well, unless I buy something for myself.

oh wow!!! yes. at first, it was up just at christmas and rather simple. then, as i got older, i set one up on a platform in one of our spare rooms, built a little town, mountain with waterfall. wow!! if i had spent the hours i spent on that train set on grades, i'd have gotten into harvard!!!
