You could try the feedback link at the bottom of the page. I know for a fact that someone reads and actions the feedback when it's submitted.

Anyone can comment, click on the title of the blog, and then click add comment.

Whoever told you the Blog is a staff-only deal is incorrect. Any Answerbagger can post in the Blog. Feedback is probably the better way to suggest improvements, though, because the Blogs are topic-sensitive.

You can click on to Feedback at the bottom of the screen..there is a place for comments..I'd write down whatever it is you want them to consider..there is also a place that asks if you'd like to be notified so you can check that off. They're awfully busy most of the time so don't expect an immediate reply..there's just a few of them (plus our sweet CL's) and there are many many many thousands of us! So be patient! :)

The best way to suggest improvements would be through Feedback. Staff will get it, and, if they decide to implement it, it will be prioritized with all other suggestions. The next best way may be to ask a question about it in AB Suggestions. I'm unsure if staff will pay that much attention here, but you can find out if others like the suggestion, then, if they do, you can go to the question page, click feedback (bottom of the page), and make it a formal suggestion. ;-)
