Drinking removes inhibitions and destroys judgment. Chances are, the drunk-dialer in question has had his/her ex on their mind in some form for a long time. Being drunk just damages their reasoning as to why that would be a bad idea.

There probably still not over the person the alcohol just gave them a little courage and a dash of not caring about what anyone thinks lmao...I only say that because I am going through it...except I didn't have to call them they showed up at my friends house and I let him know how I really felt lol which didn't end well.
