I live in Northern Virginia and the best thing to do would be to stay in a hotel here and take the metro into Washington, DC to see the Smithsonian and do some sightseeing.

I live in California and there is much to see in California. Yosemite National Park is the most breathtaking place. The huge granite mountains are absolutely awesome. Learn more about this gorgeous park at http://www.nps.gov/yose/

You will also find that there are many wineries located throughout California. Napa and Sonoma are NOT the only wine regions in the state. Wherever you are in California, you will find wineries nearby. Plan your own wine tour at http://www.cheers2wine.com.

This time of the year, a drive through Litchfield county to enjoy the foliage and maybe stop at a winery.
New Haven is popular thanks to the museums.
Many people go to the two casinos that are in the eastern part of the state.
    Then there's always Mystic Seaport.

  • The Alamo, and the Riverwalk in San Antonio, The capitol building in Austin, then go down to the party area, 5th street, or is it 6th. Go to New Braunfels and see the river and go to Schlitterbaun. Too much to name. Lots of fun stuff and great food to be had!
