Is a passport required to travel thru canada from alaska to the continental united states

if it's not already required (which i think it is), it will be soon. you will need a passport to get back into the states. it is easy to get into canada compared to the states. it used to be a photo ID and birth cert were good enough, but i believe that law was changed this year.
