  • if ur original key has a chip in it this is the problem its a security thing for when cops pull u over they see that light on the dash and check if ur the actual owner or a thief sometimes it starts sometimes it doesnt dont know why it bs but thats how it works go to the dealer and just have a key made its kinda pricey but that light will piss off for ya good luck bud
  • The security thingy the other guy is talking about has nothing to do with the cops. The system is called the immobilizer system, or immobi for short. I has a coil of wire around the ignition switch that acts as an antenna to pickup the key. From the pickup the signal goes to a box called the immobi unit. the immobi unit then sends a signal the ecm/pcm through a single white wire using didgital computer code. Once the ECM/PCM recieves the signal it turns on the fuel inectors. Now that you know how it works first start with the key, If it says ilico or is blank altogether it is not fully compatible with the immobi unit. If ti is a honda genuine key, I have seen several times when a large amount of key or key rings will interfere with the pickup coil, try using just the key by itself. If these donnot work, suspect a poor conection the B-can line(white wire). The green blinking key light means the ECM/PCM is not receaving the immobi signal.
