Well, all vegetation would die out relatively quickly. With a chain effect all animals would then parish and we'd be esentially screwed in a short time. Maybe some marine life would survive far below the surface, but that would probably be the extent of life on earth.

Without the heat from the sun this planet would quickly die. I imagine some types of bacteria could exist in stasis for a while but without the energy created by the sun nothing would be alive.
