  • If you are using sign language you bet cha. lol - ;-) But seriously folks.... An interesting documentary was on a few months ago on one of the science channels which was looking at the use of hand signals and body language in all parts of the world. A good many of the hand gestures we do use are the same or similar enough relating to the context of the conversation. A very few are at odds depending on where you go and what language is spoken. Another thing, on a more personal note, I have noticed through the years of the internet that people get into fights over content within messages. Sadly people 'say' stuff as a joke that is taken off color, while if the person had said it tone of voice, hand gestures, body language would have given the much needed visual clues to let the person being 'spoken to' know that the person 'speaking' was joking - being playful. So by and large hand movements are there to help us communicate something.
  • I would personally say yes...otherwise you just look stiff and forced into the conversation.
  • If you are speaking Italian, then yes.
