  • I think that's extremely unlikely -- in those days, it was common to record on machines that had only 2 or 4 tracks, the massive multitrack machines didn't come along for years after. Thus they would not have recorded the drums on a separate track such that they could be mixed out. It's possible you might find a MIDI file someone has assembled, in which case you could mute the drum track for practice.
  • there are MANY recorded versions of Take Five by now, if you're looking for the one recorded by Brubeck, you're definitely outta luck. i'll do some research, but there are literally probably hundreds of versions of take 5. probably even some that are not even in the 5 time signature
