Sure, In terms of being a well rounded person; But it might be tough to find a job...

It's more valuable than no college education at all, but a focused study is far more valuable when you get into the job market. (Good question.) I rather like the European model for education. After about 10th grade, the liberal arts education is over in most cases and the focus begins to narrow into fields of aptitude.

I do, yes. The more educated you are the better you are prepared for life. There are a lot of well paid jobs that do not require a degree but the knowledge.
-
No Its good to minor in something.. but I think its better to have a specific major that your good at... for example.. I would think it would be better to get a Real Estate and Mortgage Financing Degree instead of just doing a simple Business Degree.

Unlike my parents day when they had one job that lasted their whole lives, it seems that people these days sort of bounce around before they find their niche. So I say yes to your question. You never know what part of your education will play a major roll in your decision later on.
-
Of course it is of value but if you don't specialize in any particular field it will make your chances of being hired in a specific industry much less likely.
-
Yes I think it can be useful. So many people today go into fields that have nothing to do with the degree they take. Specialising does not allow for a base of knowledge just gives a piece of paper unless you are definite about the field you are entering. eg. Medicine , Law etc.

No. If that's the case, save your money and just read a variety books from the library and leave the classroom space open for a more serious student. College does not offer to anybody a guarantee of success and wealth. Heck, they don't even guarantee you'll get a job within your major, which also seems like a waste to me. What does having a degree in 19th century American literature have to do with getting a job in accounts receivable at a mousetrap manufacturer? Oh, that's off topic. If you ask me, anyway, if you have no specific goals towards a major, then a career in that major, it's all a big waste of time and money. I am sure to get DRd and corrected now.
