Johnny Depp could play anything. He is an incredibly gifted actor and could play a potted plant and it would be worth watching.

He could pull it off a lot better than the other rumour I heard, Eddie Murphy....I also heard Robin may be back; I hope these are both just silly jokes.

Oh god please no. I like the man. I think he CAN be a good actor. But he's been typecast (and has allowed it to happen), and if he were to play the Riddler all we'd get would be the tired "Whoooah! Look at me! I'm so wacky!" This round of Batman films has been all about the realism (well, with a man in a flying suit... you know what I mean :P) and to make it that cartoony would just be annoying.

Personally, I think it would be more fun if Depp went back into his Wonka suit and had it out with Val as THE BAT. Frank and Jim did Riddler great already, we don't need anyone else. The Wonkster can attack the city shooting everlasting Goobstoppers with his oompa loompas and his squirels.
