The 1960s, there were more really new things made, and some of the greatest musicians of the 20th century worked then - Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Velvet Underground, Zappa & The Mothers, Cream, The Byrds, the Doors, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Santana, ... I could not name as many really great musicians from the early 1990s - even if there are some.

60's baby, yeah. In the 60's there were real musicians, Beatles, Jay Black, Ricky Nelson, Clapton, to name a few. Hip hop does not even have coherent lyrics and the music is as repetitive as possible, it can't be called music.
