You mean ED as in erectile dysfunction? There isn't much connection or overlap with hernias. I suppose a really bad inguinal hernia can result in strangulation of the spermatic cord, which might cut off blood supply to one of the testicles -- pretty rare. Or a loop of small intestine can end up in the scrotum -- also pretty rare. The latter would probably interfere with sexual function but not specifically with the mechanism of erection. Concerns about ED should be discussed with a urologist. Concerns about a hernia should be discussed with a general surgeon.
