I took a loan out in june 2000 for £3000 with hfc bank i have only been able to make minimum payments average £85 per month,i have paid tham around £6500 back and still owe £2400,what do i do c.a.b cant advise the bank says tough b

I have heard simlar in Australia, like if ya get a credit card say for $5000 and if ya pay back the min it could go on for 20 years. The idea, is to pay back, even a little more then the min and you could reduce your debit by years. Try paying an extra $10 or $20 a month more and it will make a big difference. To borrow money costs money, and banks make money from the poor, not from the rich. Alway on loans, pay back more then the min, else you lose and they gain.
