It's well constructed, but not earthquake proof. We actually have had a few in the area, but they didn't do any major damage.

Houses here are strongly built but not for earthquakes although we have them infrequently they do not normally do any major damage.

I would guess no. Earthquakes are rare in Connecticut.

Althogh Earthquake is not rare here, many houses are not earthquake proof. Nowadays, houses are built well-designed but not well-constructed. They could not protect people from devastation.

My house here in Minnesota is not "earthquake-proof" ... but I do carry earthquake insurance. I added coverage nearly 20 years ago, and my friends all laughed. The cost was ngligible. One month later there was a mild earthquake in western Minnesota. VINDICATED! ;-)
