I guess that some men feel threatened by taller women, and it damages their ego. (This is just an educated guess, as the height of a woman doesn't bother me one way or the other.)

To be honest, height isn't an issue to me at all. Tall women have long legs (and look damn sexy in skirts), while short women are cute. It's too bad women can't be both short and tall at the same time, because I like both for different reasons.

what? Since when? Since when do they like short, stubby, squeaky, fat, clothes too long on, can't look elegant girls? From this short girl pov, it seems tall girls get all the attention. I'm 5'3", I'd kill to be even 5'8", 5'9 or 5'10" would be awesome. Clothes are made for tall girls..they just look better, they're more elegant, generally thinner. If you're too much woman for some idiot, than find a real man whose not intimidated by you. you just need a taller guy.

i guess it just seems awkward walking around with a tall girl on your side. shorter girls just seem so cut and innocent, as long as they aren't the short chubby ones.

It could be because of media. In almost all movies, the guys are taller than the girls. Or it could just be their preference. But not all guys are like that.

I couldn't care less, but I think it's that subconsciously some men want to inhabit the protector role, and feel like the big strong man protecting his small, defenceless woman.

Well Height really dosen't matter to me before I was married I actually prefered a tller woman, but hard to do since I am 5'10" call makes it hard to find a taller woman no? so I guess that is your answer, cause I am taller then most women. ...not that taller women wher ever interested most wanted a tall man :P

I think it's a masculine thing, if they're taller they feel more in charge or something. Plus, what kind of man wants to have to stand on their tip-toes to kiss their girlfriend? I wouldn't.

why do women like taller men. Just contrary to that rational. Its been a part of our culture for decades for men to feel a sense of superiority when with a women shorter than them and we like that. Just like women want are attractive to taller men and feel more secure with them. It works hand in hand.
