disconnected...most newer rvs have a quick disconnect built in ... just turn switch. or get a little solar charger

If you keep it plugged in you MUST every two weeks or however fast your batteries use water, MAINTAIN the batteries. Even though you don't use it, it is still charging - therefore needs maintance. If you don't keep it plugged in you need to disconnect or remove the batteries. This keeps the batteries from discharging as there are things hard wired in to the battery, like your LPG detector or memory for other items.

Assuming the onboard battery charger is working properly, it is best to leave it plugged in. Lead-acid batteries require a 'float charge' to counteract their self-discharge tendency. If allowed to discharge to a very low state, it will be very difficult to return the battery to its full capacity. Excellent website re battery tech: batteryuniversity.com

I always disconnect the batteries until about a week before I'm going to use it. then reconect and plug it in so the batteries ar fully charged when you're ready to go..e
