Why is it someone who ask ALOT of questions on here receives a lot of points, but never gives them out?

They are selfish, after a few times, most will stop answering their questions.

I know a few who do that and a few who only give points to certain people. I am sure they have their own personal reasons which could be different for each one of them. I try to make sure I give points to all questions I answer and all answers to the questions that give me honest answers. There are very few on this site I ignore both their questions and answers but that is very rare.

They're just mean! Or lazy! Or both!! Stop answering them, go to someone who's more generous to you - and someone who also acknowledges your answer/comment with a comment back. I find that so very annoying when all you get is a "Thanks", or sometimes nothing at all, especially if I've made a real effort answering their question! :) <hint-hint>

People would say that the points don't really matter. But if that were the case, why not just give them out? It's not as if we lose money each time we give points to someone. I do know what you're talking about. As much as possible, I avoid such users. It's not about the points. It's about having that feeling that the questioner isn't interested in the answers, just the points.

I don't know why they do it. After all, it does not cost anything. Even if i get poor answers to a question i give points. I don't ask many though.
