It is though that the change in pressure due to altitude can bring on early labour in women who are in their third trimester. Most commercial air companies have rules (not all uniform) on how late an expectant mother may fly.

There is no scientific evidence linking flying and the miscarriage of a healthy pregnancy. I myself have had a 5 hour journey when I was pregnant without any side effects.
