If it were incognito..no tentacles..and tender and delicious, I'd never know. But if I get a plate of tentacles I wouldn't want it in front of me at all..I'd say I did not order this..please remove it immediately! Or I'd throw up!...whichever comes first! :)

freak out i hate all sea food i accidently got squid at a buffet once... chinese i thought it was onion rings but was squid rings...was put off anything else on my plate and didnt get anything for the rest of the night not even dessert, luckily i only bit into the batter not the actual squid and noticed on time or i would have thrown up instantly!

You know, squid is common and many, many people like it. Calamari is squid. I would simply point out the error to the server and ask for it to be corrected.

i had calamari fritti for lunch today... i probably should not have since i could have ate 5 meals for the price but i missed going out to eat... i would eat it if i did not order it but only if they discounted it for the mistake

I just found out I'm allergic, so I'd be pretty ticked. Pretty recognizable food though, all white and chewy, so generally not a big deal.

I am allergic to squid - if I ate any I would react very badly and probably clear the restaurant as I went into an anaphylactic shock.....best I just send it back ;0)

Depends entirely on if it looked good or not. I've had good squid and bad squid, and the difference between the two are pretty major.
