No, they're only required if the mime is shooting *You*. The average mime has taken a vow of silence. You (I'm assuming) haven't.

I believe it is only the Mime that is required to be absolutely silent. It would seem that it would be a token of being polite to be as silent as you can.

To legally be allowed to kill a mime, you have to first invent the silenced chainsaw(patent pending) and then dismember them in total silence. You and the mime.
