My high school French is rusty, but I believe the A.G. Edwards song Sur Les Bateaux Mouche (by Gilbert Einaudi and Jaques Mercier) translates literally as "On The Fly-Boat." This refers to a type of sightseeing yacht that can frequently be seen on the river Seine. www.discoverfrance.net/France/Transportation/Water/Bateaux-Mouches.shtml (take out spaces, key manually; copying and pasting from here seems to alter URL). When I was a kid in the late fifties and early sixties a number of French tunes were popular, and it seems like I remember this as being one of them, but maybe it's just the French quality I'm remembering. Still, I've heard this particular tune somewhere besides the HBO comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm, I can't remember where.
