Why can't anybody answer this question. I am interested in the answer. I'm suffering with a cold at the moment, I think I caught it from work. I can't imagine people in hot countries getting colds all the time, am I right? Perhaps people in hot countries have more problems with stomach bugs or something ??

I'm not sure how common the "common cold" is in the UK, but here in the US it is pretty common. I recently read that a school-age child will suffer, on average, 4 colds per year. Since I have two school-age kids, that means 8 colds a year are being brought home to my house! I would have to guess that the common cold is probably the most common ailment experienced in the US.
