Hi Dillu, Sorry buddy,I saw it late but,thanks for the question.All other mechanical engineers who are pursuing their studies,your question might help them. Some good projects for mechanical guys are,Flywheel dynamics,Engineering Hydraulics linked with Automotive parts,Pneumatic control systems,CAD and CAM design of various motor parts and their implementation in MATLAB,Ways to suppress vibration of mechanical parts during motion of machines,Gear Trains and Load transformations etc are some good topics that would help you in future. Please try to avoid those extraordinary topics that are not commercially implemented or have any near commercial implementation.They may help in getting better grades but,won't be of any help in future.Decision is yours,good luck.
