Bolt action- the only moving part is the firing pin- hits the bullet, goes down the barrel and heads for the target. In the semi-automatic, there are gas tubes redirecting some of the propellant gases upwards and rearwards to retract the bolt and strip a new cartridge from the magazine. This not only reduces muzzle velocity but also adds the element of muzzle rise due to the expulsion of propellant gas. Subsequent shots will tend to rise.

It really depends on the rifle, but generally a bolt action rifle is a bit more accurate than a semiautomatic rifle, though the difference in accuracy tend to be out weighed by the fact that with the latter you can get another quick shot if you miss the first time

since the bolt action rifle is operated manually for feeding each and every round, tolerances for the bolt will be a lot tighter, thus increasing consistency in the action. Whereas semi-autos will need some 'looseness' in the tolerance in order to achieve reliability (ie: AK-47 family has very loose tolerances for maximized reliability, M16 family has tighter tolerances for more accuracy).

Yes, the bolt action rifle is the best. It is more accurate due to less moving parts. It is also safer to use and more reliable in combat.

most say bolt action, but the only bolt action rifles that are extremely acurate are the ones using the kar 98 bolt , and if not , it just depends on how steady your aim is.
