I am writing a fiction book about a married couple. I wrote each chapter in the first person by either the woman or the man. Some one told me you can't change the first person.
I make it very clear at each chapter who is talking.
Can I do this?

Sure you can. I've seen it done before in a book, so I know it's possible.

Sure you can. It's YOUR book... You can do anything you'd like. And it's not like similar things have not been done. If a publisher tells you that you can't, find another publisher. ;-)

I LOVE the idea, seriously. Do it. Never let anyone tell you that you can't be innovative and unconventional with your craft.

Sure you can. Just make sure you state who's point of veiw. For example, if you want the point of veiw of say, Emma (Wife) about their first kid you could write as the title of the chapter, Emma A new addition

You are the author. You can do as you like.

You can do whatever you want. You're the author. That makes you, for all practical purposes, God of the Book. Anyway, I shouldn't think switching POV would be a problem, especially if the book is in first person because with first person you can give each character a totally different voice and outlook.
