Sure you can. It's YOUR book... You can do anything you'd like. And it's not like similar things have not been done. If a publisher tells you that you can't, find another publisher. ;-)

Sure you can. Just make sure you state who's point of veiw. For example, if you want the point of veiw of say, Emma (Wife) about their first kid you could write as the title of the chapter, Emma A new addition

You are the author. You can do as you like.

You can do whatever you want. You're the author. That makes you, for all practical purposes, God of the Book. Anyway, I shouldn't think switching POV would be a problem, especially if the book is in first person because with first person you can give each character a totally different voice and outlook.
