Put the chocolate in a bowl, and put the bowl in a saucepan containing hot water. Leave the saucepan on the heat for a while and the chocolate will melt.

I use a microwave oven. Zap it for 5 seconds at a time until it reaches the consistency that you want. Using the power selector is also a good idea, since you don't want to melt it too quickly. Always stir between 'zappings'.

PUT CHOCOLATE IN A PLASTIC BAG, BOIL WATER AND PLACE THE PLASTIC BAG IN THE BOILING WATER TO MELT WITHOUT SCORTCHING.

I just melt it on a pot. I grate it though, so it will melt faster. The less time in the pot, the less of a chance it will scorch.
