definately apologize to your boss. see if maybe he can make an exception to let the customer still get their ice in an hour. if he says no, then the customer i can guarantee is going to be mad. i work in a grocery store, and some people want stuff and want it now. they might need the ice for a party or something. they'll eitehr want their money back or accept the ice in 5 hours, but i can say they probably wont be happy about it. i would just apologize to the customer, and assure them it will never happen again. hope that helps =)
