valentino, unfortunately he retired but i had the great opportunity to see him in real life at random! im in new york so i actually ran into katie holmes too but thats a different story... the lady who succeeded him has nothing on him!

There have been many iconic fashion designers through out history. Many would say Chanel was one of the most influential fashion designers in history, though some of the most influential designers are unknown to the general populous, for instance Madame Vionnet who is credited for inventing the bias cut dress ( you know, those beautifully drapey dresses everyone loves which hug the body in all the right placed but are not made of knit). I think the modern day version would be Vera Wang. She is classy, elegant, and more of a mogul than many realize. She has created an entire market for wedding attire then branched out to do papers, home decor, bedding, as well as ready-to-wear and most recently launched an affordable price point line through Kohls.
