  • A layer dip is easy to make and usually goes over well. What kind of meal will you be eating, that would make a difference in what to bring. Oh, you could also do fruit kabobs. In season fruits aren't very expensive and they look really neat.
  • A big bowl of fruit salad is very easy to prepare, and isn't too expensive. In the summer months, fruit is appreciated by many.
  • Corn casserole - 3 cans whole kernel corn, 1 can creamed corn, 1 box Jiffy Corn Bread Mix, 1 16-oz Sour Cream, 1 egg, salt & pepper. Drain the whole kernel corn and mix EVERYTHING (you will have to judge on the salt and pepper) in a casserole dish. Put in oven at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until top has golden brown crust. Put on the lid, and take. It will drop, but be GOOD.
  • This isn't terribly expensive, I've taken it to a few parties and to my mom's for the holidays. It's really easy...do you have a small crock pot? BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP 2 [10 ounce] cans chunk chicken, drained 2 [8 ounce]packages cream cheese, softened 1 cup Ranch dressing 3/4 cup red hot sauce 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Heat chicken and red hot until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and Ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half the cheddar cheese and transfer mixture to a slow cooker.Sprinkle of the remaining cheese over top, cover, and cook on low setting until hot and bubbly
  • Fruit salad, watermellon, simple desserts like cookies or cake, potatoe salad, tossed salad, lunch meats and sandwich fixin's, baked or fried chicken, chicken wings, lasagna, spagetti, plenty of drinks and ice.
  • I make a delicious taco salad. There are reuben sandwiches you can prepare by using those Pillsbury dough from a can. Add whatever cold cuts you'd prefer and bake. Cut into small rolls. Simple and delish! With the fruit salad, there are also dips you can buy. One of them is a chocolate one and the other is a cream cheese type dip.
  • This is really easy and delicious, I triple the recipe, they disappear quick... BBQ bacon wrapped mushrooms. 1 (8-ounce) package large whole button mushrooms 1 pound package peppered bacon, room temperature, slices cut in 1/2 4 tablespoons of your favorite barbecue sauce Cut the stems off the mushrooms. Clean with a damp cloth, let dryon a paper towel. Wrap each mushroom with the bacon strip halves. Use 2 if the cap is not completely covered. The bacon will stick to the mushrooms so there is no need for toothpicks. (I use toothpicks, heheh!!) In a medium saute pan over medium-high heat, saute the bacon wrapped mushrooms until the bacon is golden brown. When the bacon begins to crisp up a bit, add the BBQ sauce and toss until coated. Serve warm, I throw mine in a crock-pot.
  • Stuff some mushrooms, Or egyptian potatoes - They are so easy.
