No, because I am one.

YES!!! My wife is totally like that! She gets really mad at me when we’re not early for things, and I have to keep explaining to her that sometimes it’s actually GOOD to be “fashionably late.” For example, a couple weeks ago, we were going to a cookout at one of her online buddies’ house. I was having a great time, but dw was freaking because we wound up arriving at 12:08 instead of 12:00. (The invitation, btw, read “noonish.”) Turns out we were the first ones there, and our hosts hadn’t even gotten the food out to the grill yet. Calm down, Honey. :-*

There is a saying in the pizza delivery business...if it's 15 minutes late, it's not late

I am more annoyed by people who show up late. When there is an appointed time for you to be someplace, then it is rude to keep those you are meeting waiting. When you show up late, that says that you don't care about the fact that you may be wasting their time. There may be other things that they need to do, but can't because they are waiting for you. That is just inconsiderate. So, no, "If I'm not early I'm late" people don't bug me. It's the "I don't care about your time. So, I will only show up when I feel like" people that annoy me.

To be early is to be on time. To be on time is to be late. And to be late is unacceptable.

I have to be that way otherwise I'm always running 5 minutes late.

Heck yeh! My father is that way. Just last Mother's Day, we all went out for brunch and everyone and their mother :) KNOWS how busy places are on Mother's Day. So yes, we waited a bit for our table. By the time we got to it, my mother and I just wanted to relax and enjoy OUR day. Well, we were STILL eating and my father had already asked for the check!! Where did he have to go??? We don't know! We hadn't had our after-dinner coffee or dessert and already he's got one foot out the door! You'd think with him retiring last year that he'd slow down and relax a bit but nooooo he always seems to be in a hurry...to go nowhere. I love him to death but sometimes he makes my mother and me a little crazy. My husband jokes about it too. If we're to meet them somewhere he says stuff like "I bet your folks are already there, they have the table and your dad has ordered our food. We better hurry up before it gets cold!" :)
