And the driver has to pay tax insurance license fees not including running the taxi servicing repairs devaluation of the vehicle etc etc etc Probably pay a commission to the taxi company and TRY to make a living!!!!!!

Keep in mind that fuel is just one of the costs involved with driving. In addition, there are the obvious ones like insurance, repairs, and parking, but also the less obvious costs of pollution, congestion, road rage, and the loss of space to ever increasing road construction. Not to mention the potential for fines for moving and parking violations.
Do you wear your seatbelt in a cab? Ever had a driver tell you to? Ever had your cab pulled over for not?
