  • I like Conan but i like him on HIS show I hope this doesn't kill his career
  • It's not might, it's happening. Conan is hilarious.
  • I think this might signal the end of class on late night variety shows.
  • It's not might, he is. In 2009, he will replace Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon will replace Conan on the Late Night show.
  • Conan sucks I'll never watch the tonight show when that happens
  • I like conan a lot u know w/his pompadour and chuck norris clips but i think his humor that he uses on the show sounds bette when its during the later hours
  • Conan is painfully boring, with his dry sense of humor (or lack thereof). I love Jay Leno, and will be another lost viewer when they make the switch next year.
  • he WILL replace jay leno in 2010 or 2012 i believe, he announced it 4 years ago
  • BAH :(
  • I'm sure NBC didn't just pick his name out of a hat. His ratings show that he's the best person to move into the position, and the safest. Conan will gain a larger audience than his show, even if the Leno purists (like some people here) leave in disgust. They don't get Conan. He's not dry, in my opinion, he's obvious. Conan will obviously keep a few million Leno viewers who haven't seen him yet and find him funny, he'll also gain a lot of newer people who hate Leno but can't stay up late enough to watch him at 1230. He'll do okay. I'm more worried for Jimmy Fallon actually. So, I guess to get back to the question: how I feel about it: kinda nice, I like both Leno and Conan. And as noted before, there's no Might about it. Also, I hear rumours about Leno not being happy with NBC basically forcing him out and he wants to go to ABC where he'll be in the same time slot and can destroy both Conan and Letterman
  • I think Conan is way funnier than Jay Leno! Leno is sooooo stale, Conan actually makes me laugh. I can't wait because Leno is the only late night show that it hurts to watch (besides Carson Daly of course)
  • Don't like the idea at all!!! Guess I have an idea of what I'd like that timeslot to be - and so much rides on the personality and style of the host to nail it. Johnny Carson nailed it. Some substitute hosts over the years nailed it - some fizzled. Conan is perfect in a "late, late night" slot - but just don't think he has the "something" to move into that earlier slot. I'm trying to imagine the variety of guests and how the "chemistry" of the show might be. Nope - late, late night!! Ok, so the network must have made a deal and now it's in his contract. Ok, imagine us - the viewers. Evening prime time is over. A bit of news. Then? _____ (fill in the blank)_____. With this coming and who knows what on other networks, methinks I'll either be on cable instead or better yet, popping in a DVD. (Or sitting here typing on AB .. with music on instead of tv!!)
