Sure does...you just don't the total HD experience but you can play games, BluRays and regular DVD's just the same.

Yeah, I used to run it on a regular TV. You can tell it's made for HD though. I couldn't read a lot of the text on screen.

yes, it works well with the av cables supplied but true about the ps3 it was made for hd or full hd plasma and lcd tv's and with a 7.2 channel surround system will blow your mind.
