Does anyone know of a battery powered emergency generator that doesn't cost thousands of $'s..that can be used to drive aquarium pumps in a power outage?

You could probably find a cheap UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) which is designed to let a computer run for 10 minutes or so depending on the UPS, but it would last longer if it is only running a fish pump. You could also get some oxygen weed if thats ok for your fish.

I Know of a website that has a neat small portable generator that only weighs 45 lbs and, would run a few fish aquarium pumps and lights etc. all you would have to do is run an extension cord to this unit,it has 880 watts of power enough to power 8- 100 watt light bulbs (example) http://kit-master.ecrater.com/ it is called a emergency/camping portable generator 950 watt
