sex without love is great, if your between relationships, or just out of a bad one and don't want strings.

Sex without being in love can still be a tender, sharing experience. Sex without at least the desire to explore the other's personality and have some form of emotional attachment, even if not enduring or earth-shaking, is on the other hand potentially exploitative and reificatory. Friendship plus sex has worked for me without damaging the friendship but maybe I've just been lucky ... Perhaps it's the difference between Love (capital l - the grande passion) and love (small l - affection and emotional contact but nothing more dramatic). The latter can be just what is needed e.g. on emerging from a major relationship - what is known in Woody Allen-speak as a 'transitional relationship.' And it can sometimes lead on to greater things ...

I have done it... I call it a rebound. Never with randoms though, usually people I was already friends with, but not such a close friendship were you risk destroying it because that's simply not worth it.

i'd do it...and have you don't have to love someone to have sex...its just kinda something to do on a friday night....only if its safe sex though. Its kinda sad that it doesn't mean more to me but sex isn't a big deal so if ur in the mood go for it
