My first guess is what happened to me more than once. Check the air in your tires, ESPECIALLY the front left. In a left turn, you take a bit of weight off of the left side but in a right turn, you put more weight on it. You might not notice it when the vehicle is still. I've had tires with sidewalls stiff enough to look normal at 12psi; SEVERELY underinflated. My next guess is wheel bearings.

I recently had the same problem as yours, but it was the right side when the steering wheel was to the right. I changed the wheel bearing and the noise got slightly better, then replaced the tierod end and the noise went away. Jack up the front left side of your car and with the wheel nuts not loosend try to move the wheel up and down(push on the top and bottom of the tire) and back and forth(push on the left and right sides). If there is movement when you do this the problem is either the tierod or balljoint.
