  • Get as in understand?
  • Depends, understanding teens is pointless
  • I think that, in some cases, it's better for everyone. It's so difficult for children to have the push and pull of torn loyalties. If she believes that her children are with a good parent, she may actually be making a sacrifice that is good for all. It's a painful decision to have to make. Of course, if there are things that change it from a "normal" situation to something else, ie, addictions, abusive partners, etc., that's another story altogether.
  • I think you mean understand if you do .I can only say it is very difficult to understand some children. I suppose that some Mothers come to the end of their tether but I do not think I know too many that actually give up on them That is a very sad situation for both mother and Child.
  • Now a days- Fathers have more say in who gets the kids. At one time it was thought that mothers were the better parent and fathers did not fight. More and more Dads are fighting to get custody of their kids. I don't think most mothers just plain give up-I think they feel that their child could have a better life than they can give them. But I think mothers should be able to see their children. If it is her choice NOT to see them-then I have a very low opinion of mothers like that.
