  • Question. did the officer follow you into the service station? did you drive from the public street into the service station? if so, he may not have observed the other five autos, on the public street, as he did with you. If this is the case, your citation is valid.
  • One of the other 4 cars had cut him off and his buddy also and the 2 other cars where my close friends in there car so yeah he saw them also he just gunned me down out of everyone else also i was 5 mins parked and my other friends had just passed and the cop changed over from the far lane into the Cheveron and then turn on his lights behide me while my car was already off...Grrr i hate this ticket it's dumb
  • in the process of abtaining a medical reason for the tint,
  • Uhm... I'm pretty sure there's no clause to the laws stating that "if he does it I can do it too!" That only works with siblings both under the age of five.
  • If your window tint is in violation of state laws, then it doesn't matter what happened or didn't happen to anyone else about the tint. You are guilty of violating the law. If you wish to fight this, you will need to take it to a tint shop and have it tested for light transmission and see if it conforms to state law. If it does, you can take this evidence to court and get the ticket overturned. Someone mentioned a medical reason. There may be provisions for medical reasons to have darker tint, I don't know. You need to find out for yourself what the real LEGAL answer is on this before attempting to use it to justify the dark tint. And, of course, if you don't have the tint for medical reasons, it won't do you any good anyway.
  • Of course! But you wouldn't win. "But five other cars had it too" isn't a legitimate argument.
  • You can fight it, but you wont win, you cant prove those vehicles were there, when the officer wrote the ticket, and you cant prove that he saw the other vehicles.
