  • You probably are still running off of the default XP video driver. Download the appropriate video driver for whatever video card you have and you should be good to go!
  • Could be that the drivers for your graphics have not been recognized by XP or that XP reset your lower resolution to a lower one. Go to your control panel and try to set the screen to a higher resolution with the screen settings. If not, you might have to update your graphics driver for XP. If you are on the internet, you can do that by clicking on the system icon in the control panel, then the hardware tab, then the device manager button. Look for display adapter, right click on properties then click on driver and then update driver
