Would you rather adopt a puppy from a "no kill" shelter or a standard shelter?

I didn't know of a "no kill" shelters, though I would even adopt a puppy from each if I could!

I would rather get any animal from a no kill as I've just seen and had to many heartbreaks from sick animals coming from regular shelters. And for every animal I adopt, that another animal that the no-kills can find from another source and spay, neuter, give shots, and socialize. When I give my heart, I don't want it to be for one week. I've done that and it's heart-wrenching.
