I'd ask them to give me a minute. Although I'd probably be tempted to get angry, I suppose they probably have been trained to do that, and it's not really their fault.

Ask for a menu in your native language because it obviously aint English.

Wherever I am, I always say "I'll let you know when I'm ready for your help, thanks. I need a few minutes to decide."

I would say in a nice way "I'm still deciding." Then they usually wait for me to finish.
