  • try eating eggs and quorn/soya. They're both protein rich. I'm a vegetarian too, and I eat those things.
  • Tofu! Eat lots and lots of tofu. It is cheap, tasty, and full of tofu.
  • Nuts and soy-based products (like tofu) are common staples for vegetarians. For the ovo-lacto vegetarians, milk products and eggs are also popular.
  • Go to the library and check out Jane Brody's Nutrition Book and Jane brody's Good Food Book.
  • Besides nuts and soy, legumes are also useful protein sources. Pile on the beans, the lentils, the peanuts (unless you're allergic). These are incomplete protein sources, but they happen to complement the incomplete proteins found in cereal grains, and thus form a balanced dietary source.
