  • He was human. Mccartney was a primadonna. And that is Sir John Lennon.
  • He was definitely not the ideal human being based on his family life. The fact that he spent so little time with his kids despite his own childhood having lacked genuine parents reflects something about his personality and his priorities. Never the less he is/was the greatest songwriter of all time, perhaps an imperfect life is the inspiration for greatness.
  • He was human, everyone does things that don't fit with the norm. His personal life wasn't great sometimes, no one has a perfect record.(no pun intended)! He was an ok person and a musical genius. the press ate him up whenever they could, sometimes he asked for it, sometimes not. His music will keep his memeory alive for eons.
  • _________________________________This has been asked so many times before. I respect your question and I will do my very best to make my opinion as clear as dark unclear crystal (that’s my best heh). I am a huge HUGE fan of the great late John Lennon. Many people young and old have had and done things wrong with and in their lives. John is no exception. John Lennon was a terrible cruel asshole, jerk moron, twisted fuck. Yep I said it. Just because his my hero doesn’t mean I have to believe every single thing he says and does, does it? Of course not, that’s what differentiates the mindless gullible zombie and the open minded independent thinker. Well yes, John "was" a jerk, but that was mostly when he was very young. Being very young myself (now 19), it is very easy to become a rebel that hates anything that’s not similar to ones self. He used to beat his wife, he was a crappy dad. Also he was a crazed drug addict. But, he made up for it. He made mistakes, but he learned from it. O ya, he learned from those terrible experiences alright! How? Let’s take a good look back shall we? He quit drugs, except cigarettes, heh. He preached real peace. He became a feminist. And at that time, he was one of the not so many rare hard to find stay at home dads when he took care of his son Sean. So, to wrap things up, he was a bad man and did many bad things, but he learned from the past to shape his future in the right way. You know it’s kind of like there were two time periods of john’s life, the negative and the extremely high positive. What makes his positive extremely high? Look at his life’s work! He has accomplished so much in his short life. He gave the world a tiny glance of real peace through the power and form of words and music. The world would have been a much bleaker place if John was not there (I think that way anyways, could be wrong). He made up for all his negatives and I’m proud that a fellow human being went that far through life. He truly lived a billion times more than the average human in our galaxy in this particular century. Lennon in a way expressed his emotions on his bad actions through his music. Through music, John shows that he feels terrible about what he had done and tries to make things right. I come to realize that not many people listen to all of Johns songs. There are more Lennon songs than one might think. "Right Now" the average person knows John Lennon for his work in The Beatles or the “that guy who created Imagine. There is way way more songs than Imagine, give peace a chance, and instant karma you know. And if you listen to his extremely underrated other songs, you will have more knowledge on this particular subject and will be able to see the whole picture rather than a nibble of a lost puzzle peace. Peace, its the one thing we should all BLANK BLANK fill it in with something, well, + ____________________________________
