  • I had a negative experience, mainly due to lazy realtors.
  • It depends entirely on where you are and what you intend to do with it. If you are buying your primary home in a price depressed place, and planning on staying in it more than 5 years, this is a very good time. If you are hoping to turn it over very quickly at a higher price (known as flipping) this is probably a bad time, since most indicators are that prices are going to continue to fall, and fewer buyers are available due to the depression. If you are buying a rental, this is a great time to do that, because the rental market is very good. Lot's of renters among those who have been forced out due to foreclosures. Some rental buyers might be tempted to wait a few more months. By next fall, I expect to see lower prices on rental homes for sale.
  • It really depends on the house, the location, weather or not you can afford the house, and how long you plan on being in the house. In general, if you can afford the home (not just skimp by on the payments), got a good fixed rate interest rate, paid at least 20% down on a 15 year mortgage, and purchase the home for less than it appraised for, then you did a great job!
  • we just bought a home as well. its being built. im sure its not the best time to buy but what can ya do. although i think its better now for the buyer then the seller.
  • it is a great time to buy
  • Its a buyers market a sellers nightmare. If you have good credit its a great time. You are never going to beat these rates. Prices are way down also.
  • It's a personal decision. If it's the right time for you, then it's a great time to buy. However, don't overpay and don't buy beyond your limits. Your house shouldn't cost more then 3 times what you make in a year. Anything more than that and you will be extending yourself a little much.
  • Your timing's impeccable...CONGRATULATIONS!
  • This is the IDEAL time to buy a house. Interest rates are low and it's a buyer's market when it comes to cost and selection.
  • There are so many factors to consider .... LOCATION is #-1 !! Then you have the size of the home , the year it was built, didewalks, curbs, 'n gutters ... etc ... and the neighbors ... septic or sewer ... well or city water ... But; all in all this IS a fairly good time to purchase a home .... it is a buyer's market out there right now ; BUT prices are starting to climb back up in certain areas ... I sure do wish someone would buy My Home ....
  • A VERY GOOD TIME WHILE OUR ECONOMY IS LOW.
