Help answer this question below.

I know you can mix kitten food with kitten milk replacer and water to aid in the weaning of kittens from their mother. What I don't know is how much food to how much replacer. Does anyone know the answer to this? Need answers quickly.

There is no set formula. Start with just a small amount of food to mostly milk replacer, and gradually increase the food and decrease the milk replacer. The whole process should be set to the slowest kitten's readiness to eat. Usually there is one fast kitten who weans in two days or less, and one that takes a week to ten days.

If you gradually change the balance over a week to ten days, your kittens will be weaned without upsetting any little digestive tracts. If you go too fast, there is liable to be diarrhea and tears...

Good luck. Glad to see that they are doing so well!

The kittens shouldn't be weaned if the mother is still nursing.
