I always used to be quite opinionated on this subject. I believed it was really silly to have questions on here that dated back to 2003 that still hadn't been answered. I thought that questions should be deleted after say, 6/12 months. But one day, when I was having a good look through the 'unanswered questions', I found a load that I could answer. Whoever asked the question had had to wait 3 years, but they did eventually get an answer! New users are constantly joining AB, and with them they bring a whole new load of knowledge and ideas. If questions were deleted, then who knows, the next day, a user might have joined who could have answered those questions. For that reason, I don't think questions should be deleted.

I think you should have a choice of getting you answer deleted or not.Like a box to check is you dont mind after about one year if it gets erased. After all, some questions aren't all that important and by the time some questions get answered people dont need an answer anymore. For instance, a question like this "My GF just broke up with me what should I do" -aksed May 12 2002. Im sure that person has gotten over it by now.

Not necessarily, but I wish they would delete rejected questions from our profile. They end up staying in there forever - taunting us that we couldn't ask a good enough question to make it on AB :-)
-
No. Wouldn't it be funny if noone answered this one? Then what would you have to say about that?
-
No. I go through them often trying to find ones I can help with.
-
No... Someone, somewhere, sometime will answer them.
-
No I believe someone may answer them when its the right time.
-
No. Right now, I'm answering some of the many unanswered questions here. It's fun!
-
Even better, an expiration date for all questions.
-
Nope, you never know who is going to come along and know the answer to your question.
-
That is a touch topic, as every "good" question deserves an answer... With that said... Yeah, if it takes 4 years, or even 2 years, maybe there is a reason nobody answered...
