Who knows? Why do I picture my Jesus wearing a tuxedo t-shirt and singing lead vocals for Lynard Skynard?

I've often answered a question I'm not 100% sure about, commenting on the fact that it is hard to give a straight answer. When I'm not sure of something I often do a little research before posting what I think to be an appropriate answer. I dislike when someone answers here with a plain "I don't know". I think that might be honest, but not helpful.

Only if I have something to say on the subject. I responded to a question earlier today about things to do in Costa Rica only because I wanted to ask for some feedback when the questioner returns from Costa Rica because I am vacationing there next year. I don't think I have ever answered with just "I don't know".

It depends on the nature of the question and the way it is framed. If the question requires specific knowledge in a subject about which I know nothing, I don't answer it. If the question pertains to relationships and some specific problem..even though I may have no experience with that particular problem, I may have an opinion or some advice so I answer it. Sometimes people ask questions knowing full well the answer..they just want to hear it from others. You never know if you can be of help to someone unless you try! :)
